The Syracuse Orange and Louisville Cardinals both tallied field goals and touchdowns to help a Big East Conference football game reach the conclusion of the first quarter in a 10-10 tie.

Louisville scored the final touchdown of the quarter on a 53-yard screen pass from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to running back Corvin Lamb, who found a gap and outraced the Orange defenders to the end zone.

The score answered a touchdown drive by Syracuse, which capitalized on a muffed punt by the Cardinals. The Orange recovered the ball at the Louisville 23-yard line, and five players later, scored on a nine-yard touchdown run by junior running back Prince-Tyson Gulley.

Syracuse kicker Ross Krautman tallied the game's first points with a 20-yard field goal, which capped the game's opening drive.

Louisville tied the game at 3-3 with a 37-yard field goal by kicker John Wallace.

The Orange will begin the second quarter with the ball at Louisville's 32-yard line.
