UFC on FX 5 preview: TV, main card and analysis

UFC

Heavyweights Travis Browne and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva headline the four-fight main card of UFC on FX 5.

What: UFC on FX 5

Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota

When: On Friday, the two-fight Facebook card starts at 5 p.m. ET, the six-fight FUEL card at 6 p.m. ET and the four-fight FX card is on the air at 9.

Main Event: Travis Browne vs. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva

Co-main event:: Jake Ellenberger vs. Jay Hieron

At stake: For Browne, a rising heavyweight prospect, the need for a signature win. For Silva, it's absolutely critical to halt a two-fight losing streak that saw him get decimated by Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez ... Ellenberger was in line for a potential welterweight title shot before he was stopped by Martin Kampmann. A win over veteran Jay Hieron gets him back on track ... A win over Jussier Formiga earns Ultimate Fighter 14 winner John Dodson a flyweight title shot at champion Demetrious Johnson.
