Who to start and who to sit among the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

It is more than a quarter of the way through the fantasy football season, and my team in our CBS Sports league sits at 2-2, though I am fourth in the league in points scored. Bye weeks are upon us and with that, the need to go deeper into your bench presents itself.

Here is your fantasy football report for the New York Jets for Week 5, Monday Night Football in New Jersey versus the undefeated Houston Texans.

Quarterback
This week, Tony Romo, Josh Freeman, Matthew Stafford and Carson Palmer are on byes, so some fantasy players will need a fill-in for this week. Under no circumstances should that fill-in be named Mark Sanchez.

Forget that Sanchez is having a terrible season (four INTs already, less than 50 percent completion) and that he just lost his best wide receiver (Santonio Holmes) for the rest of the year. The Texans boast arguably the league's best defense, and they rank No. 2 against the pass in the NFL, allowing just 182.8 passing yards per game.

Sit Sanchez.

Running Back
Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell are not fantasy options right now, especially not against the Texans, who rank first in total defense, allowing 90.2 rushing yards per game. Greene has only 191 yards on the ground in four weeks with only one score. Find better options.

Sit them both.

Wide Receiver
The success of Jets wideouts largely depend on the ability of Sanchez to accurately deliver the football, which partly hinges on the offensive line giving him enough time to make that kind of throw. With J.J. Watt — he of 7.5 sacks already — and the rest of the Texans defense bearing down, Sanchez will not be afforded much time to pass and with that, the Jets receivers (whoever they are with Holmes out) are not smart fantasy plays.

Sit all of them.

Defense/Special Teams
This is the only Jets option for fantasy, outside of maybe kicker Nick Folk. With Antonio Cromartie, Kyle Wilson and LaRon Landry, there is some big-play potential. But the Texans attack with Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson, the Jets defense will have their hands full.

Start them if you have no other option, but do not expect much

Good luck in Week 5.
