The first leg of the MLS Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals between the New York Red Bulls and D.C. United will now be held in Washington due to Hurricane Sandy.
Originally scheduled to be held at Red Bull Arena, the first leg of the home-and-home series has been moved to RFK Stadium in Washington on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 8:00 p.m EST. As a result, the second leg of the series will now be held at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 7., also at 8:00 p.m EST.
The Red Bulls earned the third seed in the Eastern Conference with 57 points, while D.C. United finished second with 58 points. In the regular season the two teams went 1-1-1 against one another. The two game series will be determined by aggregate score.
