New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle is being monitored for a concussion.

New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle is being monitored for a concussion that he may have sustained late in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Tom Coughlin said on Wednesday. In order for Rolle to return to action, he will need to pass the league mandated concussion protocol. Coughlin said on Wednesday that the team was hopeful that he will pass.

This most recent injury only adds to the Giants issue at safety as Kenny Phillips has been out since Week 4 due to an MCL sprain. After returning to practice last week, he ultimately did not travel with the team to Dallas. Coughlin stated that he was going to practice on Wednesday but it's unclear whether the injury will limit his participation.

The Giants will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:25 p.m., ET and will be broadcast on CBS.
