After losing at home to Kent State, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights fell out of this week's BlogPoll rankings.
Rutgers' undefeated season came crashing down Saturday when the Scarlet Knights lost at home to Kent State, 35-23. As a result, Rutgers is unranked in this week's SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25.
The Scarlet Knights (7-1, 4-0 Big East) fell from their No. 18 ranking last week. Despite the loss, Rutgers still controls its destiny for the Big East title. The Scarlet Knights are a half game ahead of Louisville (8-0, 3-0) in the standings and host the Cardinals Nov. 29.
The Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0 SEC) remain No. 1 in this week's rankings, strengthening their grip on the top spot. The Crimson Tide received 60 of 77 possible first-place votes after defeating previously unbeaten Mississippi State, 38-7. With a 55-24 victory over Texas Tech, Kansas State (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) moved up to No. 2. Florida (7-1, 6-1 SEC), last week's second-ranked team, fell to No. 7 after a 17-9 defeat at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs.
