Sports on TV, 10/13: ALCS Game 1, college football highlights Saturday

Yankees-Tigers, Syracuse-Rutgers, the Red River Shootout and South Carolina-LSU are the games to watch Oct. 13.

The obvious highlight of Saturday's TV schedule will come at 8:05 p.m. ET, when the New York Yankees -- fresh off a five-game ALDS victory over the Baltimore Orioles -- will host the Detroit Tigers in the first game of the ALCS tonight on TBS.

Before that, there are plenty of spicy college football matchups to get warmed up. Syracuse takes on No. 20 Rutgers for the final time as Big East Rivals at noon ET on the Big East Network and ESPN3. 'Cuse will try to give Rutgers its first loss of the year in Piscataway, NJ.

For the national slate, here are the highlights in chronological order:

12 p.m. ET: No. 13 Oklahoma vs. No. 15 Texas, ABC
3:30 p.m. ET: No. 1 Alabama at Missouri, CBS
3:30 p.m. ET: No. 5 West Virginia at Texas Tech, ABC
3:30 p.m. ET: Illinois at No. 25 Michigan, 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
3:30 p.m. ET: No. 17 Stanford at No. 7 Notre Dame, NBC
6 p.m. ET: No. 4 Florida at Vanderbilt, ESPNU
7 p.m. ET: No. 11 USC at Washington, FOX
8 p.m. ET: No. 3 South Carolina at No. 9 LSU, ESPN
