Giants-Eagles final score: New York comes up short, 19-17

US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Lawrence Tynes came up about two yards short on a game-winning field goal try with 15 seconds remaining as the New York Giants lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 19-17, Sunday night

Lawrence Tynes came up about two yards short on a game-winning field goal try with 15 seconds remaining as the New York Giants lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 19-17, Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Tynes had two tries at the game-winner. He pulled one wide left, but Philadelphia coach Andy Reid called timeout. Tynes' second kick was straight enough, but fell short. Tynes had been 10-for-10 in field goals on the season.

Philadelphia had taken the lead with 1:49 remaining on a 26-yard field goal by Alex Henery.

Aided by two pass interference calls on the Eagles the Giants drove to the Philadelphia 26-yard line. An offensive pass interference call against wide receiver Ramses Barden pushed the Giants back to the 36-yard line, however, and they were unable to advance the ball from there.

Giants' quarterback Eli Manning completed 24-of-42 passes for 309 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.

Michael Vick completed 19-of-30 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown for Philadelphia. LeSean McCoy ran 23 times for 123 yards for the Eagles.

The Giants are 2-2.
