NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Jets Are No. 6, Giants Slide To No. 18

Stay connected for news and updates

The SB Nation NFL Power Rankings are out for Week 2 of the 2011 NFL season, and both the New York Jets and New York Giants are right about where you would expect following the way each team played in Week 1.

The 1-0 Jets are No. 5 in this week's rankings, while the 0-1 Giants slid all the way to No. 18.

The Jets were sixth in the original preseason rankings, and moved up one spot after defeating the Dallas Cowboys, 27-24. Said SB Nation:

The Jets sort of had a comeback victory over the Cowboys. To end the fourth quarter they lost a fumble, punted and had a two-yard drive that resulted in the winning field goal. Hey, a win is a win.

That probably pretty well summarizes how Jets fans feel this week.

The Giants looked awful in a 28-14 loss to the Washington Redskins, and tumbled from No. 12 into the bottom half of the rankings. Said SB Nation:

I'm not quite sure what to think of this team. Are they too high here?

Right now, Giants fans aren't sure what to think either.
