New York Jets: What To Look For In First Days Of Free Agency

Stay connected for news and updates

Like every other team in the NFL, the New York Jets have been active in the first hours of free agency by signing a handful of undrafted free agents. Here is the current list, which we will update throughout the day:

  • TE Josh Baker, NW Missouri State
  • TE Collin Franklin, Iowa State University
  • G Chris Stewart, Notre Dame
  • DE Wayne Daniels, TCU
  • SS Davon Morgan, Virginia Tech
  • CB Julian Posey, Ohio
  • LB Nick Bellore, CMU
  • OL Tom Ottaiano, Monmouth
  • WR Courtney Smith, South Alabama
  • WR Mike Campbell, Temple
  • OG Zane Taylor, Utah
  • OLB Stafford Gatling, Ohio

In other news --

  • ESPN Chicago is reporting the Bearshave interest in Jets WR Brad Smith. The Jets are highly unlikely to bring Smith back considering their other free agents.
  • Everything we have heard, indicates there will be a bidding war for WR Santonio Holmes between the Jets and the Washington Redskins. However, Holmes agent has went on record saying he wants to stay in New York.
  • Not surprisingly, Damien Woody has said if the Jets don't bring him back, he will retire. I would expect the Jets to find way to get back for at least one more season.
