Braylon Edwards Wants To Stay In New York

Stay connected for news and updates

Braylon Edwardswas in court today pleading guilty to his DWI charge from last year. However, he did take the time to leave reporters with a few quotes, including making it clear to ESPN's Jane McNamus that he wants to stay with the Jets and hopes to sign a deal with them in their window exclusivity to negotiate with him.

Edwards has been very open about his desire to stay with the team this year, more than Santonio Holmes and Antonio Cromartie, who have been open about getting the most money possible. It will be interesting to see if the Jets can work something out for Edwards, even though it is common knowledge they have made Holmes, another wide receiver, a higher priority this off-season.

The Jets also announced yesterday they hired former Indianapolis Colts coach Tom Moore as an offensive consultant. He will help with red-zone playcalling, an area the Jets struggled in last year. Moore is best know for working with Peyton Manning throughout his career.
