Red Bulls At Seattle Sounders: New York Again Short-Handed

Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Red Bulls will put a six-match unbeaten streak on the line Thursday night when they play the second game of a four-match road trip against the Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field at 10 p.m. ET in a nationally televised showdown (TV: ESPN 2; Radio: WADO 1280 AM).

As they have been much of the 2011 MLS season, the Red Bulls will be playing short-handed against the Sounders. Star striker Thierry Henry will be serving a suspension after receiving a red card during Sunday's 3-3 tie against the Portland Timbers. The Red Bulls will also be without Rafael Marquez, Juan Agudelo and Tim Ream, who are all still performing in the Gold Cup.

The Red Bulls are 5-2-8, tied for first place in the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia Union. Each team has 23 points. New York has played to a draw five times during its six-match unbeaten streak. The Sounders are 6-4-7, third in the Western Conference. Seattle has lost just once in its last eight matches.
