St. John's advanced to the semifinal round of the 2011 Big East Conference Baseball Championship Tournament Thursday with a 6-4 victory over Pittsburgh. St. John's is the No. 2 seed, and Pittsburgh was the No. 3 seed.

St. John's will have Friday off. They will play Saturday in the semifinals against the winner of an elimination game between Pittsburgh and Louisville. The Panthers and Cardinals will meet at 3 p.m. Friday, with the winner taking on St. John’s Saturday at 10 a.m.
