Poinsettia Bowl 2011: TCU Vs. Louisiana Tech

Stay connected for news and updates

The BCS howl season is already well underway as the Christmas weekend approaches. The TCU Horned Frogs are preparing to face off in the 2011 Poinsettia Bowl against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Wednesday.

No. 18 TCU held an overall record of 10-2 in 2011, finishing the season a perfect 7-0 in the Mountain West Conference. They're the easy favorites against the Bulldogs, who were 6-1 in WAC play but finished 8-4 overall.

TCU's sophomore quarterback Casey Pachall put together an impressive season this year, throwing 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions. The Louisiana secondary will need to contain Pachall and disrupt his routes if the Bulldogs want to pull off the upset.
