Sunday's loss by the New York Giants to the San Francisco 49ers brought to the forefront the questions about the Giants history of second-half of the season collapses under head coach Tom Coughlin. The Giants will have to answer those questions, though, until they put them to rest on the field.
They can begin doing that this weekend when they host the reeling Philadelphia Eagles (3-6) at MetLife Stadium on Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC). The NFC East-leading Giants (6-3) snapped a six-game losing streak against Philadelphia earlier this season with a 29-16 victory at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Eagles, losers of their last two games, could be without quarterback Michael Vick Sunday night. Vick suffered broken ribs in Sunday's loss to Arizona, and his status for the game is in doubt.
The Giants open the week as 3.5-point favorites. See the point spreads for all NFL games at SB Nation's NFL Odds page powered by Odds Shark.
