The New York Jets have no time to feel sorry for themselves after Sunday's 37-16 loss to the New England Patriots. The Jets travel to Denver this week to face Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos in the first Thursday Night Football game of the 2011 NFL season (8:20 p.m. ET, NFL Network).
Tebow at quarterback makes the Broncos unlike any other NFL offense. In Sunday's 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Tebow threw just eight passes, completing two, while the Broncos ran the ball 55 times for 244 yards. The 4-5 Broncos are 3-1 since Tebow became the starting quarterback and are increasingly using a college-style option attack.
Jets coach Rex Ryan called preparing the Broncos "a great challenge" due to their different style.
"It's totally different. (The Broncos) ran 55 (times), they had 55 runs and eight passes. But each week it's different. Sometimes they spread you out and then they'll run it, they'll do a lot of creative things," Ryan said. "So it's definitely (a challenge), in this short a time, we've got our hands full."
