Jets Vs. Steelers: Aaron Smith Practices For Pittsburgh, Revis and Smith See Action In Practice For New York

We’re less than 96 hours away from Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With just a few days remaining until kickoff, time is running out for both squads to rest up their banged up players.

Considering the magnitude of the game, you can expect everybody who’s even remotely capable of playing to suit up and at least give it a go. For the Jets, those players include CB Drew Coleman (knee), S James Ihedigbo (knee, ankle), CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), and WR Brad Smith (groin) — all were limited in Wednesday’s practice session.

Participating fully in practice for the Gang Green were CB Antonio Cromartie (groin), DT Mike Devito (neck), WR Santonio Holmes (quadricep), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), DT Sione Pouha (back), QB Mark Sanchez (right shoulder). Only DL Jason Taylor, who sustained a concussion last weekend, sat out Wednesday’s workouts.

For the Steelers, the most notable player absent from Wednesday’s practice was All World safety, Troy Polamalu, who is resting an Achilles injury. Others absent from Wednesday’s session were S Will Allen (knee), WR Arnaz Battle (illness), CB Bryant McFadden (abdomen), S Troy Polamalu (achilles).
