Monta Ellis for David Lee?

With Amare Stoudemire committing to orange and blue, the New York Knicks need to look for a second player.

They appear ready to let David Lee go, but don’t seem completely content to let him go for nothing.

The biggest rumor floated involves Lee being signed and traded for Golden State’s Monta Ellis. Another three-team variant sees Lee going to Minnesota, Minnesota’s Al Jefferson going to Golden State, and Ellis coming to New York.

Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that the Knicks sign-and-trade target won’t be Ellis, but perhaps Charlotte point guard Raymond Felton.

Either way, the Knicks certainly aren’t done yet.
