After Wednesday's night thrilling 5-3 defeat of the Ottawa Senators, the New York Rangers will play two consecutive games.
The first of those two games is tonight against the Blue Jackets. The Rangers will be looking to win their second straight game, and fourth in five games.
Derek Stepan (who John Tortorella called the best playmaker on the team earlier in the week), Marian Gaborik, Erik Christensen, Brandon Dubinsky and Michael Sauer were the main contributors to the offense against Ottawa. Gaborik notched two assists in the contest.
Henrik Lundqvist had a fantastic performance as well. Logic would dictate that Martin Biron will start either tonight or tomorrow against the Washington Capitals. My guess is tonight so that Hank can play against the superior opponent.
That's not to say, however, that Columbus will be a push-over. They are a great, fast team. Should be a good game, and a good litmus test for the Rangers.
