The New Jersey Nets (2-1) seek their third victory in four games when they host the 0-3 Charlotte Bobcats tonight at Prudential Center ( 7p.m. EST). The Nets, who started last season 0-18, did not win their third game a year ago until Dec. 30.
Troy Murphy, signed as a free-agent during the offseason, could make his season debut tonight for the Nets. He has been out since early in training camp with a back injury. Murphy averaged 14.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for Indiana last season. Guard Anthony Morrow is also a game-time decision for the Nets due to an ankle sprain.
Brook Lopez leads the Nets with an average of 24.7 points per game, and Devin Harris has averaged 18.7 points and 8.3 assists in three games. Rookie Derrick Favors has averaged 10.3 points and 10 rebounds.
Charlotte is led by Gerald Wallace, who averages 18.7 points and six rebounds per game.
