The Jazz are 7-4 and sitting atop the Northwest Division, but are just 2-2 at home. They are looking to avoid back-to-back losses following a 115-108 defeat at the hands of Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Against the Thunder, Utah was led by PG Deron Williams' 31 points and 11 assists. Paul Millsap and C.J. Miles combined to chip in 36 points, but it wasn't enough to open their current three-game homestand with a victory. Not surprisingly, the Jazz gave up 115 points while their best defender, Raja Bell, was out with a groin injury. Bell will be a game-time decision against New Jersey.
The Nets opened up their four-game road trip Monday night against the Clippers with a 110-96 victory. They were led by Brook Lopez' 24, while Travis Outlaw dropped 23 to help offset the loss of Devin Harris to a second quarter ejection.
New Jersey is hoping to once again have the services of Terrence Williams. The versatile reserve has missed the last four games due to an abdominal strain.
Prior to Monday night's game, the Nets had lost 23 straight road games to Western Conference opponents. The Jazz have won three straight against New Jersey.
