Ryder Cup: McDowell, Europe Win 2010 Cup
Graeme McDowell closed out Hunter Mahan on the par-3 17th hole to help the Europeans defeat the United States 14 1/2 – 13 1/2. Mahan, who needed to win the hole to continue the match, hit his first shot well short of the green, mishit his second then missed a bending par putt. The European fans mobbed the green and chanted “Ole!”
